NAIS
NAIS (Navcite Azure Integration Services) is an integration platform based on Azure, designed to streamline and accelerate new integrations.
NAIS addresses the challenges of modern hybrid IT environments
Companies today invest in multiple cloud-based systems and frequently go through mergers and acquisitions. This often results in several applications being used within a hybrid environment where they do not function optimally together. Despite this, many organizations choose such solutions because they are often better suited for modern businesses than a single all-in-one system.
To make these systems work together effectively, a clear integration strategy built on APIs and structured architecture is required. With NAIS (Navcite Azure Integration Services), you gain an integration platform that simplifies and accelerates the creation of new integrations. The platform leverages Azure services and prebuilt components to provide a smooth and efficient integration solution for modern hybrid environments.
NIC is a simplified version of NAIS
NIC (Navcite Integration Connector) is a lightweight, container-based version of NAIS designed to run locally or in hybrid environments. This enables organizations to perform integrations locally while NAIS is used for centralized management, monitoring, and configuration.
Key benefits of NAIS
NAIS is designed to simplify, streamline, and future-proof integrations in modern IT environments.
Through a structured and scalable platform, NAIS enables organizations to build stable, high-quality integrations faster and at a lower cost.
Faster development
Low-code configurations make it possible to build integrations faster by reducing the need for extensive custom development.
Reusable components
Reusable components and standardized structures enable more efficient development by leveraging prebuilt elements and consistent working methods.
Handling complex scenarios
NAIS is a flexible solution that adapts to different business needs and can handle advanced integration requirements.
Improved monitoring and troubleshooting
NAIS provides greater visibility into integration performance and makes it easier to quickly identify and resolve potential issues.
Scalability and future readiness
With NAIS, you gain an integration platform that can grow with your business and support evolving needs over time.
Cost-Effectiveness
Reduce development and operational costs through more efficient processes and better use of resources.
How a NAIS implementation works
A full NAIS implementation always begins with a POC implementation.
Navcite’s project model and established workflows are applied when a complete implementation project starts to ensure quality, efficiency, and structure throughout the entire integration process. The focus is on delivering quickly and with high quality through simplicity, iterative development, and clearly defined expectations. Close collaboration between all parties involved is crucial to achieving the desired results and delivery quality.
The Proof of Concept consists of 10 steps that guarantee rapid value and proof that you can take the next step with a full implementation:
The core principles behind NAIS
NAIS is built on the core principles of API-led Connectivity in three layers:
- Experience
- Process
- System
NAIS is a so-called low-code solution where integrations are built through configuration. The platform includes a library of pre-configured building blocks that are configured and linked together to create an integration flow. The integration configuration itself acts as the recipe that the NAIS executor interprets and runs at runtime.
NAIS is also designed to handle deviations that may arise in an integration. This means that the NAIS executor can be layered over a specific flow, allowing you to easily implement custom .NET code when the integration requires a more tailored solution. Transformations are handled by NAIS transformers based on Scriban, an open-source project that uses {{}} syntax. Scriban offers several advantages, including WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), making it very fast to develop and modify transformations. Additionally, Scriban ensures high-speed execution.
